WEEKLY REFLECTION: DECEMBER 11 TO DECEMBER 18

Description of the week

Owing to the Christmas celebrations and examination, there were no regular classes during the week. As a result, we were not able to cover any curricular components during the week.
On December 11, it was a regular working day till 2 p. m. There were Christmas programs in the school auditorium. We also celebrated Christmas by exchanging gifts with the internship trainees from St. Thomas Training College. The real joy of Christmas was truly felt when we exchanged gifts.
On December 12, we got a holiday owing to the study leave for Christmas examination. From December 13 to December 15, there was no regular classes. Arrangements were adequately made in the school for the Christmas celebration. The exam halls were allotted to students a week before itself and it avoided the chaotic situation usually seen during exams. We were allotted discipline duty which was to be carried out just after exams.  I and Swathy were given the ground floor of the Library Block for the discipline duty. We did our duty appropriately and spent the rest of the time for preparing the lessons and project works.
We reported back to college on December 19 for Christmas celebrations and other works.

Self Reflection and Rating

It was not an usual week. The school was in a celebration mood which suddenly changed to examination mode within a span of a day. I thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas celebration. The discipline duty allotted to us gave a glimpse of the herculean effort a teacher must take beyond the curricular works.
