WEEK 4: DECEMBER 4 TO DECEMBER 8, 2017

      The fourth week was well spent. Each and every moment at school was utilized fully.

ØCoverage of Curricular Components:

 I was able to complete nine lesson plans. It includes:
1. Defects of Eye and Eye donation- Refraction of Light- IX. J
2. Ammonia- Laboratory Preparation- Compounds of Non-Metals- IX. F1
3. Ammonia- Industrial Preparation- Compounds of Non-Metals - IX. F1
4. Identification of Ammonia Salt- Compounds of Non-Metals- IX. F1
5. Sulphuric Acid- Industrial Preparation- Compounds of Non-Metals- IX. F1
6. Introduction to Current Electricity- Current Electricity- IX. J
7. Electromotive Force- Current Electricity - IX. J
8. Properties of Sulphuric Acid- Compounds of Non-Metals- IX. F1
9. Problems Based on Lens- Refraction of Light- IX.J


Ø Participation/ Leadership in Co-Scholastic Activities:


        I got an opportunity to evaluate the entries of short story competition which provided me with an insight of creativity of students. 


Ø Progress of other practical during the week:

       Planning for the next step of project was done. Stellarium software was downloaded and it was intensively studied during the week.

Ø Special Responsibilities undertaken:



I got an opportunity to take the students of class IX. F1 to the chemistry laboratory. With the help of my teacher, Preetha V R, various reactions were demonstrated to students.

Ø Self Reflection and Rating:



The week was preoccupied as I got many free periods to take the classes. I was able to take nine lesson plans and a total of 17 lesson plans were completed. I was able to manage the class effectively. One of the student’s poster on Acid rain which I gave as a follow up activity was striking and I reinforced her in my class.  The demonstrations carried out in the Chemistry laboratory was a different experience.
