WEEKLY REFLECTION: JANUARY 22 TO JANUARY 23, 2018

Ø Dates of Practice: 

                 From January 22 To January 23,2018

Ø Coverage of Curricular Components:

I was able to cover three lesson plans. The topic of the lesson plans are as follows:

1.     Organic and Inorganic Compounds – Carbon and Its Compounds- IX. F1 based on Concept Attainment Model

2.     Arrangement of resistors- Current Electricity- IX. J based on Inquiry Training Model

3.     Carbon Cycle – Carbon and Its Compounds- IX. F1 based on Role Play model

Ø Progress of other practicals during the week:

The analysis part of the project was carried out during the week. Innovative work was demonstrated to students of class IX.J.
Innovative work 2 was presented to students of class IX.F1.

Ø Special Responsibilities undertaken:

As a small token of our gratitude to the school, we collected about twenty books and contributed to the school library. The program was titled “A Bridge to Knowledge”.

 Ø Difficulties Faces/ How you managed the situation:

The lessons based on models of teaching was challenging but proved to be a different experience. It was managed by preparing the lesson with extra care to be well organized.

Ø Self-Reflection:

The final two days of the internship practice was hectic. As we grow through the challenges, the challenge of teaching based on models of teaching helped me to gain a better understanding of the various strategies that could be implemented in the classroom.

As a reinforcement, I have promised my students to select a star of the class. The class IX. F1 was exceptional and most students were punctual with their works. I gifted the whole class a novel and appreciated the efforts of the students. In my final class, I advised them to read more books. There was a small sadness as I completed my internship phase. At the same time, I was happy that I could complete my works on time.

The internship phase helped me in building a better version of teacher in me and I was able to experiment with the plus concept charts. The ICT integration also helped me in effective teaching.
