WEEKLY REFLECTION: JANUARY 8 TO JANUARY 12, 2018

Ø Coverage of Curricular Components:

I was able to cover four lesson plans in the week which includes:

1.     Ohm’s Law - Current Electricity- IX.J

2.     Resistors - Current Electricity- IX.J

3.     Reaction of hydrogen chloride and identification of chloride salt- Compounds of non-metals – IX.F1

4.     Nitric acid – Compounds of non- metals – IX. F1

Ø Progress of other practicals during the week:

Achievement test on the chapter Acid, Alkalies and Salts were carried out on January 10, 2018 for the class IX. F1.  The Physical education lesson was taken on the same day.

Ø Self-Reflection:

I could complete four lesson plans during the week. I was able to make teaching aids effectively. Students were particularly interested with the chart of a cartoon on Ohm’s Law. I displayed a model of laboratory preparation of Nitric acid. I realized that students readily responded to the questions I asked based on the model displayed. The videos I showed in class was effective in conveying the intended concept. The class management of boy’s class was made easier with ICT integration. It was a satisfactory week with a small uncertainty with regard to unexpected holidays in school.
